If this is true, I don't believe it will be his last fight. I can't believe he goes out getting a beatdown. He will fight again in May, 2009.

If this really is going to be his last fight I think it'll end up being against someone else such Hatton, Pacquiao or Chavez Jr (or Mora if he doesn't fight SSM)

 

I also don't believe he will go out fighting a Top Rank fighter unless it is someone like Pacquiao where he has promotional ties to as well.

The Oscar that fights Cotto, (and that fight will be at 150, and Oscar will struggle to make that, and it will be a non title bout) will be pushing 36, and coming off of a loss. Cotto is priming out now. This man outboxed Zab and Sugar. He is going to put an assbeating on an over the hill, washed up de la Hoya like the World has never seen. He will go to the body, and actually have faster hands inside the ring, and after the 5th, like PBF will get stronger as Oscar struggles with stamina issues as usual. The crackhead Floyd Sr. will have no answers and the World will FINALLY get to see Oscar go down brutally, from a shot to his face, and be hurt, and it will be stopped. This will PROBABLY happen in Vegas, as I doubt that Cotto will want to fight in LA.

Then Oscar, egomaniac that he is will announce a retirement. With a bandage over his face, and a swollen eye at the Press Conference. But he wont be able to stay retired long. Possibly most of 2009, but by the Fall, will be announcing that he wants to come back. As will a bored Mayweather Jr. :hi:

Oscar should fight Mora in LA. Better weight class for him, won't get up to the point of pissing blood.
