Word on the street: Mijares vs Montiel/Arce vs Doniare Double Header

This is huge. If Mijares wins convincingly against Montiel and beats the winner of Donaire-Arce, he's top five pound for pound in my book.

 

Mijares vs. Montiel is a huge fight, great news. Donaire vs. Arce is ok, Arce is on the decline and Donaire is on his way up. Hopefully it happens.

 

I'd rather him fight the winner of Kirilov/Darchinyan before Arce/Donaire winner. He'd unify the whole division.

 

Arce will get his Arse handed to him

Mijares by UD and Donaire by one-sided beatdown

 

Hell yeah.. This would be one hell of a card and I would love to see Donaire vs Arce as well as the winner of Mijares/Montiel.. Good card.. This fall is looking to be sweet..

 

Well look at it from a promoter's standpoint:

Mijares is a Dibella fighter.
Arce & Donaire are Top Rank fighters.
Montiel is a Golden Boy fighter.

There will definitely be friction with negotiations for any fight except Arce-Donaire.

 

If Mijares beats Montiel and Donaire convincingly, I would put him Top 3 ahead of Calzaghe and behind Cotto.

 

Thats good, still hope its no PPV since both guys should be heavy favourites.

Hmm, if Donaire beats Arce and Mijares beats Montiel, then Donaire beats Mijares, where would you guys put Nonito in the P4P list?

Mijares is top 5 for me if he comes out on top, but what about Nonito?

 

then the winner of the two fights should fight each other next. that would be very nice

 

I currently have Donaire ranked #24, but if he was to defeat both Arce and then Mijares, he'd probably end up somewhere in the top 15 maybe.. If Mijares beats Montiel and Donaire, top 5 more than likely seeing as how BHop is just about retired, Vazquez & Marquez aren't doing anything and I would consider them to be better wins than Pavlik's last couple of wins..
