I'm a metal head, but I admit I have some love for rap and hip hop too and really prefer them when jumping rope or doing something repetitive because for the most part rap and hip hop songs are repetitive so you can go with the beat. Alot of old school 60s and 70s stuff is great too. If it's intense, then I'll bring the metal, but repetitive stuff you gotta have a different, almost opposite state of mind because it's for the long run.
