Songnui tries containing the southpaw with a jab-and-grab approach, but the jab only leaves him open to vicious body shots and his clinch attempt is repelled with a Heisman trophy pose by Wangek followed by some combos off the southpaw jab, Wangek barking through clenched teeth, "yish, yish, yish-yish-yish!". Dominant stuff from Wangek, and Songnui having to use all his spoiling instincts to not get hit with that fatal one too many at once.

More vocalizations by Wangek, grunting with his jab and then drawing it out into multisyllabic babbling depending on how many follow-up shots he manages to lump on Songnui, mostly on the midsection. Songnui ends up sitting on the middle rope, where he is a sitting duck for Wangek's left uppercut bursting through his guard. Songnui very shaky, creeping around uncertainly, throwing desperate javelin rights but getting punished with right hooks, left uppercuts, and hard digs on the body. Songnui down in a corner, giving the Pacquiao vs. Morales III head shake. He is up and survives the round, but this should be over.
