12-11 wasnt it? He was the favourite as well :thumbsup

Ward lost by a single point after having points deducted in the last round of his bout though :verysad

No he needs to win one more bout for qualification he is through to the last 16 now.

We have so far Ogogo, Yafai, Evans, Stalker, Selby and Joshua all through tot he last 16. SO they all need to win one more and they will have qualified fo London apart from Joshua who has to get through to the last 4 to qualify because he is a super heavy so he needs to win two more.

We still have Campbell and Vallily to fight today for a place in the last 16 with Ward having fought and lost by a point earlier today.

Well yes with a bit of luck 8 still in the running as of this post and then there is another qualifying tournament in March. Which gives them a second chance if they need it and also gives the opportunity for others in the weight class who might be injured atm to have a go so looks like with a bit of luck we could have a fair few qualifiers fingers crossed. :good

Irelands Darren O'Neill and David Oliver Joyce both win today. Suprisingly Paddy Barnes defeated. John Joe Nevin and Ken Egan on later on today.
Michael Conlon, Joe ward & Roy and Con Sheehan won yesterday to progress to last 16.

yeah, olympic trials are in November as well so we will see how the team is lining up for the Olympics then, I'd be happy to see 4-5 lads make it, anything over is a bonus
