That would send a message and you know what I give Joshua a decent chance he is the real deal at heavyweight imo. When he turns over he will become a massive hope for us at heavy :good

Deffo, I have really high hopes for him. He's not even that experienced of an amateur is he? And he reached the quarters of the Euros and now the quarters of the Worlds.

He's only going to get better between now and the Olympics.

I think he has about 20-30 amateur contests so not many at all but it is often like that with Super Heavies. He is clearly improving all the time. The great thing being his a genuine heavyweight who is in shape :deal

Apparently ****** offered him £50k a year or two ago to turn over but he turned it down in favour of going for the Olympics if he does well in this/the Olympics he potentially could be built up into the next big thing. I see him as a Bruno type character.

Clearly im getting ahead of myself....

Will Callum Smith get a chance at the next qualifying event now that Agogo didn't qualify here? Seems only fair really, as long as hes good enough at middle

Also...will Iain Weaver get his chance at the next tournament?

Dont know its a tough one isnt it in some ways it would have been better in Ogogo had qualified and then they could give Callum a chance and then let them have a box off.

As it goes I think that they might give Ogogo another chance because he showed promise and they are pushing him in the advertising for the Olympics.

Same goes for Anthony Fowler at welter though I think it would be hard to beat Fred Evans at the moment:deal

You're not the only one , really think the lad can be a success in the pro's.

Just hope he picks a good trainer/promoter etc when he turns over.

Unfortunately if he does well at the Olympics a lot of people will be like "oh, he's just another Audley" :-(

cammarelle wasn't that good against the irish lad yesterday so you never know, joshua might surprise us

Interesting to see we have more boxers competing than any other nation (according to wiki anyway)

Did we actually have 15? surely that can't be right

Only out of virue of the fact we are able to split the countries England Wales and Scotland. Though Scotland actually only have one representative which is the sam amount as Swaziland. If there were enough good boxers there could be around 10 each from England Wales and Scotland.

Yes he picked an original 12 by the looks of it and wales added 3 on top so looks like the 15 is correct, how can you see todays fights going for us? hope stalker wins to get a medal

Dont know all of the boxers that they are fighting but can comment on a few of them.

The main thing that the boxers have to get over is the idea that now they have qualified they can relax they need to keep focused and go on for medals.

Stalkers Indian won commonwealth gold but I think he is definitely beatable and Stalker is in great form at the moment. He is the captain and I expect him to medal in this tournament.

Khalid Yafai has a much harder task against the American Raushee ****** who is a very classy operator former world champion in Chicago in 07 though there is the suggestion that he may be on the slide having had mixed form in recent years.

Selby has Conlan I have no idea about him maybe an Irish poster can inform us about him . If either Selby or Yafai go on to win this category they will both qualify for London so its important that they do their utmost.

No idea about Fred Evans's opponent either the Lithuanian but all I can say is that Evans is a class act and really on a roll and should medal in this tournament could even get to the final.

Again I have no idea about Campbell's opponent but he is on some mad unbeaten run in internationals so I hope that this will continue I like him a lot think he could medal.

Joshua has former Olympic champion Cammarele whilst this may seem on paper a tough ask what I will say is that Cammerele isnt unbeatable and Joshua is improving all the time this may come too soon for him but by theOlympics next year it might be a different story. Even if he doesnt win here he has a great chance of qualifying for the Olympics as Cammerele is the likely winner.
