World boxing super series in trouble. Fighters are not paid there win bonuses, unless threatened to sue. 1 fighter dropped out. I wont be suprised if they cancel the tournament .
The WBSS has always been in trouble. Do you remember the final that was taking place in Saudi Arabia? And how Usyk would never fight in Russia? I personally attended a fight in Newark, New Jersey between Gassiev and Wlodarczyk (epic KO!) in a 95% empty arena. I got to see Max Golovkin smile though, which amazingly did not cause a rift in the space-time continuum wide enough to swallow the entire multiverse. At least not that day. But that’s a story for another time...... What the hell ever happened to Chi Town Fight Fan? He was good people.
It's a real delicate balance. You need to end up with the right matchups in the right cities Last year, there were some blockbuster fights in the UK which saved the series. This year, there is no hype at all for the series
This is actually a stronger version as the first, losing 2 big names at Cruiser, but gaining a lot of other big names at Bantam and Light Welter. Issue is, not many quality Brits in the coming rounds besides TTT, which loses the biggest market. The tourney is still great though, and I hope it continues.

Because they have nothing to pay them with? I'm almost sure this tournament was financed like a Ponzi scheme. Like in the first season they payed the boxers during semifinals because the organizers knew they could sell the finals. Their first real financial problems become obvious during the finals (Usyk vs. Gassiev, for example) when they had to pay quite a lot to both boxers and they hadn’t anything more to sell (the tournament was almost over). The fact that they were unable to negotiate big TV deals didn’t help at all. This (second) season the WBSS tried to use the same financial methods, most probably, but the interest (from the potential sponsors) is even lower this year, I guess…
i remember when they annouced a massive jackpot 50 million dollars LOL!!!!! No way on earth that is sustainable
