In the end, if Russia can offer the money with a guarantee of an independent (non-Russian) governing body with random official selection, it makes sense to do in Russia, as any fight makes sense where the most money is, even if that's a hard pill to swallow for Usyk. I'm sure he's looking forward to the largest purse of his career, and nothing is better to promote piece than a sports event. He don't need to bring politics to the sport.

And on Usyk, he himself can ignore the politics. But Usyk sells a lot of tickets in Ukraine, and you know his fans will travel to Russia.

There's gonna be a football world cup in Russia, I mean if 80k drunk patriots can be handled via Russian authorities, I'm sure they can separate Ukrainian and Russian fans in a 10k venue and provide safety. It's a non-issue. Sanctioning and governing is.
