Writing was on the wall tbh, Smith was getting to him regularly, outboxing Groves from range and was throwing the cleaner more hurtful shots.

I had it 3-3 but Groves was struggling in there and Smith fought a helluva fight

Groves quit. He went down and shook his head. Too many hard fights.

 

One thing to mention: Every fighter should think more and prepare themselves in their minds what they do when they really get hurt. I know its the heat of the moment and you fight with your instincts but.. Take that Fkin knee.

 

Groves got lazy that round and payed for it. But dirty win for Smith, he hit Groves while down and that closed the show. Groves would have saw that round out otherwise.
