Ref should have counted the knockdown, then given Groves five minutes to recover, while deducting a point from Smith for the blatant foul of hitting a downed opponent.

 

Nice KO. Perfect left hand counter. Can take a shot too. Basic style of fighting but Smith is fit and will take a shot to land one.

Good fight. Should have been at O2

 

He makes the weight like everyone else, too bad if he’s good and draining himself down.

 

Groves retires after this fight.

Man is finished . he looked like a 40 year old in there.

 

He sure as **** wouldn’t take a knee and not get up. He lights up Smith.

Very good fight. I find Callum Smith boring and quite slow until that finish. He finished Groves off well though, credit to him pulling off a victory on this stage. Credit to both guys.

Groves has been a great super middleweight and can definitely hold his head high.

 

Smith was starting to get outboxed though, he's not as good as people think. Still can't mix it up enough for me, but fair play great counter shot.

Agree with the weight thing. Smith makes weight easy, what's the point in moving up. Because he's tall and has a fast metabolism!?
