Body shot did the ultimate damage, Groves couldn't breathe. Very impressive finish by Smith. His height and reach is a nightmare, he's also very disciplined. Groves also didn't fight on inside, Smith would find it harder against Eubank Jr who would throw uppercuts, Groves was far too reactive tonight.

I could see that coming. Groves seemed a bit more untidy than usual and Smith does have good power.
    Fair play to Smith.

I had Smith only winning one round until the stoppage.

I've been telling everyone that Groves is well past prime, the prime version wouldn't have folded like that.

Nah. Shoulder looked fine but Groves fought like an idiot. He was having his way while boxing and Smith looked to be fading. Brain fart more than anything else.

Def. That rabbit punch whilst he was on the deck was a bit much though. No real excuse for that.

Exactly he's had a fairly long slog getting to this point, and he's in a division where he's just beaten the number 1. It doesn't make much sense unless he feels he can't make weight any more.

Expect Smith vs Fielding 2 on Sky PPV. Hearn is already licking his lips.

He would put Smith’s long term well-being in danger. Put any fighter with little head movement in against Euby and it ends disastrously.

Callum Smith is quite difficult to beat at this weight.
