    iron set of whiskers...For sure...Who was I ???

    Again, this can be several.

    Sandy Saddler, Lou Ambers and Battling Nelson are a few.

    If I had to guess, knowing how you think, I will go with Nelson.

    Like I said, it could be a lot of fighters such as Fullmer, Foster, Corbett, Ross or McLarnin.

    HH you figured that out..Yes it is Eugene Criqui, who while a French soldier in Verdun,in WW ONE,had his jaw completely shattered by a snipers
    bullet..Army surgeons reconsrtucted his jaw with a silver plate,and after the Warvended Criqui resumed his career and won the featherweight crown from the great Johnny Dundee in 1923..Criqui had 130 bouts with
    this metal plate...Amazing !!!
