Several champs can claim wins over 2 brothers (Louis bt Max and Buddy Bear, Ketchel bt the Sullivans, etc.)... but how many world champions can you name, who have lost to 2 brothers? Doudenum: Harry greb (lost to Joe and George Chip - and also to Mike and Tommy Gibbons) Johnmaff36: SRR (lost to Phil and Denny Moyer) Doudenum: Mike Weaver (lost to Duane and Rodney Bobick) DonBoxer: Sam Peter (lost to Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko) My dinner with Conteh: Roberto Duran (lost to Marvin Hagler and Robbie Sims)
Well, Greb of course could top the list with his experiences against the Chip boys and the brothers Gibbons. I suppose Harry's the first name you have in mind, but if so, lets get this easy one out of the way and further advance your challenge.
Sorry - no that doesn't count, as he would surely have beaten both in his prime! Nah, just kidding... of course he counts
Another easy one to get out of the way is Mike Weaver, who uniquely (among world title claimants) lost to both Duane and Rodney Bobick.
Yeah, you've come up with an entertaining challenge here, and I'm curious to see what other posters come up with, before Henry spots this thread through his bomb sights and nukes it to smithereens!op (Then the challenge will be who Hascup could have missed with his Tsar Bomba answer of total annihilation.)
I was actually thinking the exact same thing - but we can hope, hh is so busy (since this is HOF-weekend), that he won't see this for a while. Because, as we all know, once he does - it's end of thread!
