Mine would be slightly altered, but Ive still got Mexico winning it too Good post, well thought out :good
If you go by home country,I think Nonito would fight for the PI.born there and sorta raised there too since he visits home.It depends on if he goes with where he's grown up a little or where the family is.
Great thread! Jr Bantamweight - Vic Darchinyan - Armenia - 1 Bantamweight - Fernando Montiel - Mexico - 1 Jr Featherweight - Rafael Marquez - Mexico - 2 Lightweights - Juan Manuel Marquez - Mexico - 3 Jr Welterweights - Joan Guzman - Dominican Republic - 1 Welterweight - Manny Pacquiao - Phillipines - 1 Jr Middlweights - Sergio Martinez - Argentina - 1 Middleweights - Felix Sturm - Germany - 1 Super Middleweights - Mikkel Kessler - Denmark - 1 Light Heavyweights - Chad Dawson - USA - 1 Heavyweights - Vitali Klitschko - Ukraine - 1
This. MW - Mundine and Guerrero at mw, wtf? Mundine give me a ****ing break. Guerrero is a real good prospect but Jacobs, Golovkin, Pirog are all as talented, maybe more, and just as accomplished if not more. LHW - Campillo probably deserves to be there. Cloud too. good list though and i respect all the effort.
you made a slight mistake, let me fix that..must be the language barriers filipino:rofl Jr Bantamweight - Vic Darchinyan - Armenia - 1 Bantamweight - Fernando Montiel - Mexico - 1 Jr Featherweight - Rafael Marquez - Mexico - 2 Lightweights - Juan Manuel Marquez - Mexico - 3 Jr Welterweights - Joan Guzman - Dominican Republic - 1 Welterweight - Floyd Mayweather - USA - 1 Jr Middlweights - Sergio Martinez - Argentina - 1 Middleweights - Felix Sturm - Germany - 1 Super Middleweights - Mikkel Kessler - Denmark - 1 Light Heavyweights - Chad Dawson - USA - 1 Heavyweights - Vitali Klitschko - Ukraine - 1
i wanted there to be 1 boxer representing their country in 1 weight class so thats why there was no daniel jacobs at middleweight because pavlik is there. golovkin and pirog are just as good as guerrero. again cloud is american so he can't be in the same weight class as chad dawson. campillo is decent but hasn't proved anything yet.
A couple fighters are listed in the wrong weight class... Cotto and Margarito are both at 154 now and Ali Funeka will never make 135 again without testing positive for Diuretics. Cool idea though, if we could just get all 77 promotors on board we'd be in business.
i don't think it could ever work in boxing unless there was a global commision who ran boxing and got rid of promoters. if rules where put in place such as there is always a 50-50 split unless there is a title then it becomes a 60-40 split then that would mean that more fights would happen without all the negotiation. fighters might earn more money this way as there weren't be promoters taking all their money, people like arum who supposedly made more money than tito and delahoya in their fight. if there was a global commision then they could choose who fights who making sure the best fight the best. but the chances of that happening are probably greater than a boxing world cup of ever happening.
