World Heavyweight title fight should always be main event

Dubois vs Parker isn't really a heavyweight championship fight though.

It's basically a number 1 contender fight.

Usyk is the world heavyweight champion, despite his great run Dubois is the equivalent of an interim IBF belt holder, just as he was with the regular WBA strap

 

Turki does far more for boxing then you do.

He is the only reason we're having the huge fights coming off finally.

You can`t compare how wrestling is run to boxing, it`s a completely different fan base and psychology.

 

Whichever fight is most popular by demand is the one that should headline. Hardcore fans may not like it, but if Usyk were to fight the winner of Parker and Dubouis and hypothetically it was on the same card as Jake Paul vs Conor Mcgregor? the paul/mcgregor fight would be the main event

I`m not sure about that, Conor is a badly faded star now who hasn`t one a fight in years and is barely coherent in interviews now but you could be right though.

 

The greatest card of all time and some people are complaining that the card is too big and there is too much filler in between fights. Some are complaining that the heavyweight fight is not last.... we sure live in the age of negativity and grievance...

 

If he signed to fight a boxer he would still do massive numbers, no matter what state he is in
It was hypothetical, but we live in a world where great champions like Usyk and bud aren't household names and will never pull numbers like a Conor, mayweather or Canelo

Usyk could batter Joshua and Fury ten times and he will not have their star power. It is wrong, because he is a great ambassador for the sport and a very likeable guy too

 

As others have said, The LHW fight is an historic fight and a rematch of an already good and intriguing first fight.

The HW fight is between two contenders. Yes, it's a world title fight, but we all know who the real HW champion is, and it isn't Dubois.

I also think it's a good idea to have it this way. HW may be the marquee division (I think this is a little over played at times), particularly amongst the casuals, but if you want the sport to be promoted right, gain new fans, and retain existing fans, then you have to show them that there is more to boxing than one division.

If the sport can only attract fans by the HW division, then it will live or die by this division. If you are in a poor era of HWs, the sport will find it hard to attract new fans and retain existing fans.

It's like when the Klitschko's ruled. American TV basically gave up on them (mainly Wlad), yet the sport did well due to the promotion of Floyd and Pac, and other non-HWs to a lesser extent.
