Here's one of modern boxings greatest bodypunchers - Gerald Mclellan . Ouch . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjOiQeXEaHY Interesting footnote, Mclellan seems to be doing the same thing with his gumshield as he did in the Benn fight .
Yes i know that . Before he hits the guy his gumshield briefly comes out of his mouth. Right at the start .
when he was 19 he sparred with sean mannion who was 160 and was getting ready for maccallum...whom he went 15 rds with...and he said micky was the hardest body puncher he has ever been in with...that is saying something when u have 20 lbs on a guy who is 19
yup, I feel people often forget the pre 1990's version of Tyson was a complete package. Great power in either hand, went to the body and head equally and had extremely good movement and defense. I think it was Julius Francis who he doubled over and made leave the ground with an uppercut to the body and well out of his prime. A scary display of power!
Mike McCallum Ricky Hatton Miguel Cotto Joe Calzaghe Mike Tyson Antonio Margarito Roberto Duran Juan Urango
Interesting that . In the Benn fight the commentators were saying it was the first time they'd seen him doing that Not sure what it means, if anything . maybe a need for more oxygen .he was gasping for breath by the end of the Benn fight
Agreed (lazy of me I know....) not really seen Urango fight much though.I saw him KO that bloke earlier this year and the Hatton one
Calzaghe is a very good body puncher. Not a devastating KO artist of course these days, but uses these punches effectively to slow the opponent down.
Julio cesar Chavez in most of his fights.... especially the left hook to the body. For todays fighters - Hatton.
