Chavez and Duran were great body punchers.

Right now Hatton, Cotto, Margo come to mind

What the **** Beeston?! You bring Calzaghe's name up on a thread called 'World's Best Bodypunchers' and then say he isn't a "devastating KO artist these days'!!! You're at it mate, there's no way you're being serious surely!

Not all my picks were from current fighters - even though he isn't a KO artist now (he used to be I'd say) he uses bodyshots to good effect.

He honestly doesn't belong in this argument at all... and I wouldn't say Calzaghe has ever been a KO artist , getting TKOs against tomatoe cans doesn't make you a prior KO artist.

I am a registered member of the Calzaghe hate club - but feel he is a very good body puncher.

    Each to their own, eh?

He may indeed sometimes use bodyshots to good effect... this thread is called 'World's Best Bodypunchers' though.

He was NEVER anything like a 'KO artist', not by anyones standards, I doubt even Joe himself or even his most ardent fan would ever make such a claim. He only has 2 clean KOs in 46 fights FFS, both of them against loser journeymen, ZERO KOs in world title fights!!! If that is the definition of a KO artist, then 90% of boxers are KO artists.

Yep ... I just can't remember him landing any significant body punches vs Hopkins or Kessler , and even if he did I am sure they didn't have much effect

Maccarinelli is a very good body puncher, one of the best around, fast, accurate and powerful.

Berto's body work impressed me the other night... that left hook to the body he hit Collazo with in the 12th seemed to almost end the fight.
