Well one guy was itching for a 3rd fight and still standing, while the other bottled a rematch, so not too difficult to guess! Dubois beat Joshua like a dog. He absolutely smashed him and if stories are true, not for the first time
The big difference is that people knew what made Wilder effective before Fury-Wilder II: crazy power and a willingness to throw it. He didn't lose that in defeat, and was clamoring for the third fight where he truly had his soul snatched. In Dubois-AJ, people somehow still thought, contrary to all evidence, that Joshua was some elite, ATG skilled boxer-puncher. Joshua was on a rebuilding streak after getting badly outboxed twice (go figure, deluded fans STILL thought he was great at boxing outside) Dubois not only outboxed him, he outfought him and exposed his chin. We learned that Joshua can be: Outfought Intimidated Has a poor chin for a HW Can't fight on the outside against elite competition It's starting to look like there's a reason the only prime top 10 opponent Joshua has beaten is Joseph Parker.
Dubois/Joshua. Wilder lasted longer and had a few good shots, whereas AJ was getting smashed starting from round 1. Dubois made AJ look like an amateur.
Wilder is dumb enough to keep fighting guys who ko him until he died. luckily for him his promoters were goats at protecting their fighter from live bodies.
Wilder was a beast! He took a the biggest beating he’d ever had, was desperate to continue, sacked the guy for stopping it, and forced a rematch! That attitude should be hailed by boxing fans!
Wilder didn't get beat anywhere near as bad as Joshie in the rematch, it wasn't a proper stoppage and the ref didn't even call it. Fury dominated after the early rounds but he had a lot of trouble stopping Wilder with his new 'Kronk' style. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if you have your opponent in the corner and you land a flush RH on their face and nothing really happens, then the fighter's trainer has to throw the towel because the fight just won't end, you have not been made into a KO artist. I honestly think AJ needs to rematch Dubious because he actually can win that fight and it really doesn't look warrior-like to not try to avenge it. We all know they're warriors in the ring fighting off drones with their rifles and such, but he's not really showing it right now. I'm not a superfan of AJ but let's be real, Dubious isn't the Carl Froch of the HW division.
