Worse chin: Amir Khan or Kimbo Slice (from MMA)?

Both guys have incredibly weak beards (actually, Kimbo has two weak beards: His real one and his metaphorical one), but since we're talking sports, it figures we would want to know which chin is actually the weaker.

Each man was stopped within the first minute of his last bout. Kimbo was on the canvas in 5 seconds and finished in 14; Khan was on the canvas in 25 seconds and out in around 60.

Here's the visual evidence for you to peruse:

    Breidis Prescott KO's Khan

    Seth Petruzelli KO's Kimbo

    .

Amir Khan has one of the biggest eggshell jaws you will ever find in a world-class fighter. I don't think there's very much argument about that one.

However, that being said, in my mind Kimbo's almost-unfathomably-bad chin is the worse of the two. Khan was fighting a man his own weight who is a thunderous puncher. Kimbo was fighting a guy 30 lbs. less than he weighs who landed a very weak short right hand thrown while leaning back on one foot. Yes, sometimes the shortest punches are the most effective, but not ones thrown by much smaller men while standing on one leg.

Kimbo went over like he had been hit by a bolt of lightning. The fraud of his supposed 'stardom' is finished.

Khan got drilled with some very hard punches, a series of them. Though it took a number of punches to finish off Slice, he was basically done after the first one-legged punch.

The "winner" of the matchup and possessor of the worse beard between the two fighters:

    Kimbo Slice.

Something that does deserve to be mentioned on Kimbo's behalf is that the gloves the Elite XC fighters wear are, certainly, much smaller than those used by professional boxers. As such, Kimbo was getting hit with more proportional impact (less cushioning) than was Khan. I still think Slice has the weaker chin, at least based on the evidence above.

    I will go with Kimbo.

He was KOed by a guy that was 26 pounds less than him who was:

    standing on 1 foot
    moving backwards
a punch that traveled all of 5 inches or so that was essentially a jab.

That my friends is disgraceful. Kimbo no doubt has a Glass Jaw and no wonder he grew that beard. In Boxing he would have had to shave it.

I do not understand how anyone would have put much stock in Kimbo. He is the Sam Peter of MMA. Raw, unskilled and over over hyped and over over rated.

Something I just added to the first post:

"Something that does deserve to be mentioned on Kimbo's behalf is that the gloves the Elite XC fighters wear are, certainly, much smaller than those used by professional boxers. Rico: Kimbo is a fraud. Khan, though not the stoutest of fighters, at least has world-class skills and an Olympic silver medal. Kimbo is a pumped-up Toughman contestant, and little else.

    Thanks, Realizm.

The shots Prescott was throwing were freaking bombs. They hurt just to watch.

Petruzelli is no joke. That guy was something like the top Karate guy in the US at one time. Something like that. And he's been in MMA his whole life. Still, he's much smaller than Kimbo and that punch had nothing on it, as you would expect any one-legged punch to possess.

It was hilarious that Slice got owned like that. For those around the world who don't know much about MMA, the VP of the promotion (Elite XC), Jared Shaw, could be seen freaking out and screaming at the ref in the background while Kimbo was being KO'd. It's probably in the video above, I have to look. Shaw knew his cash cow had just been exposed before the whole world.

Yeah, you can see Shaw on the left of the screen in a brown suit from 3:28-3:37 or so screaming at the ref. The video isn't very high quality, but it's still funny as hell.

As someone wrote about the fight, alluding to the fairy tale Cinderella, this past Saturday night the clock struck midnight for Kimbo Slice's "stardom." The carriage turned back into a pumpkin courtesy Petruzelli's one-footed punch.

Kimbo's chin is 10x worse he got hurt by a guy who couldn't even properly throw a punch. Atleast Khan was stopped by a legit puncher.

    Khan. Several reasons -

    1. The gloves that MMA fighters wear are much smaller than boxing gloves. KO's are much more common in MMA.

    2. KO's are much more common at heavyweight/lightheavy, period. The punching power increases drastically as you go up weight classes, but not so much the durability. How many genuine 1-punch clean knockouts do you see below 130?

Kimbo is a disgrace. When I first saw the fight, I thought he just slipped. Nope, he was hit by a love tap and went down. That's truley sad. I don't know why anyone would build there promotion around a former bum whose amatuer background consisted of him fighting other bums in someone's backyard.
