the WBC are just as much to blame for wilders resume. i dont think either have a weak chin as both have taken some decent punches from heavyweights who would knock 99% of us out on a forum. who has the better 'chin' or ability to take a punch is the real question. Neither have really been hit flush to the point you can argue. above or behind the ear mainly. someone said it earlier which didnt get any recognition in between everyone crying and arguing bullsh*ts opinions, its the way the shot is thrown and the placement of the shot that can change a man from being granite chinned or glass jawed. it really is.
Indeed, it is clear. The differences in the QUALITY of fighter each has been on the canvas against is astounding. Wilder has hit the deck against scrubs and light-hitters, and been rocked by many other lessor fighters. Only top tier fighters have decked Joshua.
thats the point bonehead. the question was who has a worse chin and people are comparing the fighters who 'have a punch' they have both faced. all of them can punch, thats the point
Reading back through this thread and got to say that's a some amusing opinions right there lol.. but finally caved in a took the bait Joshua might have got tagged by Ruiz but let's be honest here Ruiz is a much better fighter then 80% of Wilders opponents. If he was anywhere near a level of fitness think wilder would have a very hard day at the office. Could break down the reasons why like Wilders total lack of inside game ect. Pretty sure I read somewhere wilder already ducked him but I could be wrong there but wouldn't surprise me. And saying Joshua has never fought a word champion just wtf the man's got three belts there are more than one. If fury went about a fight with Joshua like his last one see fury winning but both have bundles more ability then wilder
He was certainly a hard day at the office for Joshua when he showed up in poor condition as a late sub. He weighed more for Joshua than he did for Dimitrenko. And he still dropped Joshua four times and stopped him.
Tyson Fury was the World Champion when Joshua started picking up belts. In fact, all of Joshua's belts were taken from Fury one at a time via press release. Fury never lost them to Joshua or anyone else in the ring. Wilder successfully defended his WBC belt against Fury via a draw. And he lost the WBC title to Fury in the rematch. And they are fighting again in October. Joshua has never fought the World Champion. Wilder has faced the World Champion twice, scored two knockdowns and drew with him in fight one. There's nothing "WTF" about it. Joshua has never fought the World Champion. And he won't this year, either.
Wilder has been down three times in his career. (Even the trolls know that.) Once against Harold Sconiers, a clubfighter, who dropped Wilder, and then watched as Wilder stood up and floored Sconiers FOUR times and knocked him out. (Like Joe Frazier got dropped by freaking Mike Bruce and got up and dropped Bruce FOUR times and stopped him.) The ONLY other time was against Tyson Fury, who clubbed Wilder in the back of the head to score one knockdown, which Wilder popped right up from. And the other was a punch to Wilder's side as Wilder was tripping over his feet. And, again, Wilder jumped right up. Because he tripped. That's the extent of Wilder's GLASS JAW. 44 pro fights. One knockdown to the jaw ...before he OBLITERATED the guy. One a club to the back of the head by Fury. And one a trip ruled a knockdown because a body punch landed at the same time. You guys have talking out of your asses for years with all your "wobbles" and "Dustin Nichols threads." If Fury drops Wilder in their third fight with a punch to the chin, it'll be the first time Fury has managed to do accomplish that. Joshua not only couldn't stay off the floor against Ruiz, he got stopped by him. Stopped by ANDY RUIZ. Joshua was down five times in his first 23 fights, and ran for his life in the 24th fight because he was afraid of going down again. Wilder clearly has the better chin. Hell, a couple more nights like the one against Ruiz, and Joshua might end up going down more times in his career than he has knockouts.
Hmm. As you said, Fury was stripped of his belts. What do you think happens while someone is serving a ban for doping? The belts are just put on ice? Why many fans can’t be objective when it comes to boxing is beyond me. Fury is currently the number 1 heavyweight. He deserves all the credit. But he was out the ring for 2 and a half years. New, legitimate champions came about. It happens. Frazier was a legitimate champion, and the lineal champion... before facing Ali. It happens. Oh, but if we are just making things up, then can you please correct your Wilder outcomes against Fury. He lost both fights
you seem to be unable to understand this. Wilder has been very coddled and his resume is littered with handpicked fights. If Wilder had fought better competition he would have several KO losses. Had Wilder fought Joshua’s resume he would have several more knockdowns, several more losses, and more losses by KO. Wilder is a product of his joke of a resume. Do you understand this? Even then he has been knocked down by club fighters and feather fisted Fury.
Popped right back up against Fury but was DONE for the rest of the fight from that one punch. Glass recuperative powers.
I dont think either have bad chins, but I dont think it is something that can be compared too easily though as Wilder hasnt been in with the big punchers Joshua has been in with like Klitschko, Povertkin etc. I dont know how many other HWs would have got up from the shot Wladimir landed on Joshua?
