Doesn’t have a chin or heart problem at all. He’s gotten up from every knock down and fought on with a broken nose before. His chin is definitely better than Wilder and it’s just not even up for debate. AJ takes flush right hands from Klitschko while tired and Whyte’s left hook and is only momentary rocked before regaining control of the fight 10 seconds later. Meanwhile Wilder can’t even take a lazy right hook from a fatigued Ortiz with no hip movement behind the shot, stumbling all over the place and can’t recover for over a round and has to be given illegal recovery time. Also his legs looked like he was on roller skates once a weak puncher Molina landed a left hook. Anyone who thinks 15 stone Wilder has a better chin than AJ isn’t looking at it objectively at all. Wilder has a much weaker chin. He avoided punchers his whole career for a reason. The shots AJ took from Klitschko(while fatigued as well) would have put a fully fit Wilder to sleep. Wilder never fought Klitschko after their sparring.
It was above the ear, side of the head not a rabbit punch. Wilder was too hurt to complain. I don't think Wilder could take the shot Wlad is Joshua with and get up. I agree, Joshua can rule bend, but at least he's not a sore loser with excuses. I think We have seen WIlder's best and he's meat if he fights again vs a top ten opponent.
Why can’t you just accept the fact that Wilder has an average chin at best and he has such a low punch resistance. He got floored by a bloody body shot by a weak puncher like Fury ffs. He made Fury look like a devastating puncher that’s how weak his chin is. He’s not durable at all and has an average chin at best. He avoided puncher his whole career because his defence and chin were so vulnerable.
Well, he's fighting the WORLD champion again when he returns ... the best fighter in the division in his prime. Joshua is fighting another 40 year old who isn't even ranked. Despite that, based on their last two outings, I think Joshua has more to prove in the chin department than Wilder does when they get back in the ring. We'll see.
He was given 25 seconds at the start of round 8 mate lmao. They made it out like he had to be given a doctors check for a cut that wasn’t even there. Even Paulie Malignaggi pointed out how shady that was. He’s a protected fraud who’s been kept away from top heavyweights his full career.
"Lucky punch from the God's" He then later claimed to have had health issues before the Ruiz fight. He didn't pull out a ridiculous excuse, but to say he had none is wrong.
NYSAC rules allow for a doctor to check on a fighter for longer between rounds if they've taken a pasting, which Wilder had (though managed to stay on his feet despite this terrible chin of his). It was not illegal.
He’s already proven he has a stronger chin. Joshua been in with top punchers at heavyweight. Wilder only been in with Ortiz who’s power hasn’t been proven against top opponents. He went the distance with Hammer who even Fury managed to stop.
They were protecting Wilder. The bell went for round 8 and Wilder was still on shaky legs and was looking like he was in trouble. The ref then gets a signal from Wilders corner to halt the round and tells Wilder to go to his corner. Complete protection they were afraid Ortiz was gonna spark him.
Wilder has been down one time in his career from a punch to the chin. That's it. Why can't you accept that? The body shot Fury landed that scored the knockdown, the ringside camera Top Rank posted shows Wilder tripped over his feet. That doesn't bolster the argument he has a bad chin. It shows he has bad footwork at times. And he popped right up, because he wasn't in pain which caused him to go down. He tripped. We've seen guys go down from body shots and wince and fail to rise because of the intense pain. That wasn't the case. If he had a bad chin, he'd have been knocked out a long time ago. Not in his 11th title defense in his second fight with the World champ 12 years into his pro career. You guys WANT him to have a bad chin so bad. But he clearly doesn't. And apparently some of you WANT DESPERATELY for Joshua to have a strong chin, but he clearly doesn't. We'll all see. I know I'm right. So I'm not going to get into any name calling with you guys. It'll all wash out in the ring.
He was nearly stopped on his feet and took a lot of head shots; not illegal for the doctor to step in and under NYSAC guidelines actually the right thing to do.
Yeah exactly. If Wilder couldn’t take a lazy right hook from a fatigued Ortiz then surely the shot Wlad dropped AJ with would have slept Wilder. Wlad dropped him several times in sparring as well. Wilder would probably lose to a good few in the top 10. He was a protected hypejob.
What? Name all these top punchers Joshua faced who stopped Hammer? Did Povetkin? Sprott? Airich? Johnson? Who are all these top punchers Joshua faced that excuse his six knockdowns? Name all the Earnie Shavers-type bombers the iron-chinned Anthony Joshua has faced? Wilder has gone down ONCE from a punch to the chin and got up and floored his opponent four times and stopped him in FOUR. He has a good chin. Deal with it. I wouldn't be surprised if the unranked Pulev drops Joshua again. Joshua is the guy looking for a spot to take a break when the going gets tough.
