Worse Fight Of the Year 2007

yeah that fight was boring as hell

 

Yeah, after a while the crowd got bored of silence/booing, and started up a "Brooo-no, Brooooo-no!" chant. Bruno was visibly cracking up (in a healthy way) at ringside.

 

It'd have to be this in order -

1. Dirrell v. Stevens

2. Skelton v. Sprott 2

3. Briggs v. Ibragimov

4. Lacy v. Manfredo

5. Mayweather v. DLH

 

Dirrell-Stevens
Taylor-Spinks
Briggs-Ibrigimov

All very hard to watch, but Dirrell-Stevens tops the **** list by far.

 

2? When did this happen? The first one was a major snorefest.

Spinks vs Taylor hands down. Probably worse of the decade

 

Hah. I'm with you now.

 

That has to be the only fight I've seen Spinks outwork someone in the early rounds. Taylor clearly forgot to wake up that morning.

 

Dirrell-Stevens, Taylor-Spinks, Arnaoutis-Holt, and that Zahir Raheem fight earlier this year on ESPN2.

Skelton knocked out Sprott in the 12th round in a uneventful fight in 2004. However, compared to the 2nd fight it must have been like watching the FOTC

Lacy-Manfredo was lame, but not the worst fight of the year. It's only because everyone was waiting for them to finish off and make way for Hatton and Mayweather that it seemed even longer and even more boring. Lacy didn't help matters. He should have knocked out Manfredo halfway through the fight but he just didn't seem to have his heart in it (maybe he was thinking of a large bet he had placed on the Mayweather fight)
