If you are going to lose to someone losing to Floyd is not bad since he was one of the top p4p guys at the time. It just means Hatton was not as high p4p as Floyd was. And also Ricky was fighting at welt. Margarito is a good fighter but limited, so the fact that Cotto could not overcome it means a lot for his legacy, especially when you take the Mosley/Margarito fight into consideration.

Cotto's loss was definetely worse. Cotto got way more damage done to him. He got his nose broke and his body took lots of damage(bricks). Cotto believed in his hype and was proved wrong. He threw his best shots @ AM & AM just laughed & ate them up. Hatton on the other hand got schooled, he got beat by the best fighter in the world and one of the best to ever do it. PBF used Hatton's strengths, and turned them into weaknesses.

    Eugenia is that you?

I voted Cotto, Hatton got stopped but at least he gave it a good go against the undefeated best fighter in the sport when all the advantages were with his opponent (weight class, location, ref etc...) Cotto quit and got badly beat up against a fighter nowhere near the p4p lists and who got beat badly himself un his next fight.

Cotto loss was definitely worst. Because aside from some crazy Hatton nuthuggers and some hopeful Floyd haters, everybody with common sense knew Hatton has nothing to do in a ring with any of the TOP 5 welterweights. Come on! Lets be real here!!!! Collazo proved that.

wow a single win by margarito put him in the p4p top 6...now he is nowhere to be found...

cotto and hatton are in the same league right now..but i got to admire hatton for risking his career against pacquiao..i doubt if cotto would fight PW, pac or mosley in the next 12 months

Cotto defeat was worse as he was the favourite.

Hatton wasn't really expected to win more hopeful.
