You could pick a lot of guys at welter and above to beat him.

It's difficult, without opening a can of worms again. I still don't think Floyd has fought a competitive welterweight. Wins against Juadah and Mosley were good but because of the timing not great.

Hearns is probably as bad as you can get, Tommy would walk through him IMO.

I still believe that the shoulder roll is not as effective against South Paws (you have to block with the right hand, which limits the ability to counter punch with that hand). A fast south paw with punching power would be his worst nightmare - remind you of anyone.

Mayweather would struggle to win a round against Pernell Whitaker. In every way, Pea is Floyd's nightmare - the jab, the southpaw stance, his all-round game.

    SFW- Arguello, Morales, JCC

LW- Henry Armstrong, DLH, Duran, Whitaker

JWW- Pryor, Tszyu, maybe Locche & Cervantes

WW- SRL, SRR, Ross, Hearns here too, possibly Pacquiao

    JMW- Julian Jackson, Mccallum, Martinez

:huh You think Arguello and Morales are bad stylistic match-ups for Floyd... why?!

I love Arguello, but Floyd was a bad match for him, not the other way round.

Arguello had deadly accuracy and a big right hand as did Tszyu. He would give Floyd problems no doubt. I was reaching a bit with Morales but he was smart and wouldn't give FLoyd an easy fight.

Kid Gavilan, tall, iron chinned fighter that wasnt necessarily a ko puncher, but threw punches in bunches. Gave SRR some of his toughest fights. Curry, Forrest, Napoles. IDK about worse matchup than Hearns, but I like their chances over Floyd. These guys only lost to bigger.men or fighters that could punch, and Floyd is neither. Prime Oscar and Benvenuti could of gone either way vs Floyd.

I disagree on Arguello, despite my affection for him. In a 12-round fight, I wouldn't give him even a good chance against someone with Mayweather's speed, skills, and propensity to run against fighters who carry serious threat.

:think How do you think Napoles and Griffith would do at WW against the Floyd that fought Judah or Baldomir?
