Worse Ref Cortes or Cole

    Many threads have popped up regarding Joe Cortes and yeah I think he has done poorly like the hatton fight and most definitley when DQing Humberto Soto

    However Laurence Cole is another poor example all I remember is JMM in a tough fight getting rest from a foul and Cole's famous word Juan your ahead on points asking the fighter to bow out on injury to take a points win.

    1st how the hell does Cole know the score
    2nd that would have robbed the fans of a high light reel KO to follow
    3rd Unethical

    Augustus was the International Boxing Association light welterweight champion between April 2, 2004, and June 18 of that year. Augustus lost his title when referee Laurence Cole disqualified him in his first title defense against Tomas Barrientes. At the time of disqualification Augustus was ahead on all three judges' scorecards.

    defo. he was poor in hatton fight aswell but bein english and not a big fan of floyd he didnt make a change in the outcome. realistically there was only gona be 1 winner

    I dont think Joe decided that fight like some are quick to say but he did take away from its potential as a very good fight. One thing I will say is Floyd won that fight because of his speed and ironically he won on the inside. He took it to Hatton where Hatton wanted to take it to Floyd

    Joe Cortez is one of the best ref for me.

    Lawrence Cole is one of the most biased-towads-mexican mother****ing piece of ****. :twisted: An absolute *******. How I wish he pull his **** to Johnny Ruiz, so he gets Norman Stone's thunder :lol:

    Cole is an abomination and should be banned everywhere.The only reason he is still reffing is because his old man(Dickie) is a big shot on the Texas Comm.:dead

    Which one, the one that refereed Hatton v Mayweather, the one that refereed Hopkins v Calzaghe, or the loon that refereed Soto v Lorenzo?

    Id have to go with cortez. He sucked ass in the chavez whitaker fight. Larry is a jerk aswell.

    Whoever reffed hopkins-dlh was pretty bad aswell.

    Hatton fans like to use Cortes as an excuse into why Hatton got KTFO. Fact of the matter is, Cortes is a great unbiased ref who is a consemate pro. Coles on the other hand is pure garbage who could learn a thing or two from Cortes.

    I remember that shiet with heart under the Pac-Diaz undercard... utter bullshiet... was at a party and lost my taste for beer after he got DQed...

    both refs suck or age mad them ******ed and blind...

    Explain how his style of officiating can be completely different depending on who is fighting. Surely that is the epitome of biased.
