Worse Robberies: Maidana/May+ Castillo May or Boone/Ward + Kov Ward

Maidana and Boone weren't robbed so you've undermined this thread by including them.

Castillo and Kovalev however...

 

Maidana did much better than we all thought he would so that led us to think he did enough. If that wasn't Mayweather he was having that level of success against we wouldn't all get so carried away with what he actually did.

Boone gave Ward all sorts of trouble with his power but simply wasn't naturally big enough to get on guys that much larger. It's a real shame we never saw him get a chance at the lower weights, he could have a had a great career.

Now Castillo 1. That was a robbery IMO. A -perhaps- injured Mayweather just got outworked over 12. If he wasn't American I have no doubt he'd have lost that fight on the cards.

Ward had more success against Kovalev in a closer fight that anyone objective would score for the Russian. I think Kovalev's biggest prob is that Ward is seen as the last 'top' American. Had he lost...

You know damn well the majority of those fights you mentioned are far from robberies.

The only robbery there is Kovalev/Ward.

 

I have watched this fight six times. ward is slick as goose **** inside. and fast. much scoring done there
kovalev more overt easy to see his shots.

I was at the Boone fight, outside the KD Ward won it. Get over yourself. Ward was showboating and that's why he got caught. Best case is Boone won the round with the KD and one more. It was his 7th fight.

You are probably the same type who says he should have been DQ'd against Kessler so you count that as a loss too.

 

Kovalev being robbed is the worst one there I don't think maidana was robbed against floyd I gave maidana either 4 or 5 rounds he did well but floyd won and it was no robbery

Look at the round by round punch stats and you will see that the fight was very close. Oh yeah I forgot, compubox is controlled by 2 black guys that only count the punches of black folk....wait, compubox stats showed Kovalev landing more punches..... Oh that's right the biased commentary is what got the people believing that Ward won the fight....wait a minute, the commentators and Ledderman had Kovalev winning.... Help me out here Anglo. I thought you said that the compubox and the commentary was all for the black guys? If you say the judges are on the take, please, seriously look at the punch stats! I admit, I had Kov winning a very close fight. You crying baby boys act like Kov won every round and dropped Ward multiple times and still lost. I don't think the Ward/Kovalev fight was a robbery! What did you see in the fight? What are you going by? Punch stats show each man landed more punches in 6 rounds. In other words Ward out landed Kovalev in 6 rounds and Kovalev in the other 6. Kovalev landed only 10 punches more over 12 rounds. Give Kovalev the extra point for the knockdown in the second and it's still a close fight. This is not a robbery by any stretch of the imagination!

 

Kovalev was robbed, the only mistake he made was not knocking Ward out cold, which he will do in the rematch...............SOB is trying to get out of the rematch clause, but the clause is legal and Ward will have to get knocked out. SOB wants the fight in his home town, with his personal referee, judges and boxing commission, they only way he as any chance is to be protected. SOB is an SOB!

 

Punch stats do not support the argument that the fight was a robbery! It's like you claiming that I raped you when all I did was get a little pinch of your behind! An over exaggeration!

Come on! The fight was close! Punch stats show as much! Not saying Ward won but, the fight was not a robbery!

 

Huh? He couldn't knock Ward out last week, why are you so confident he could do it in the next? If Kov doesn't KO in the first 8 rounds, the fight will go the full rounds. He loses steam in all his fights.
