Worse robbery, Kovalev vs Ward 1 or Lomachenko vs Haney

Both close fights.

 

Worst thread? This one or all the other 1000's threads crying robbery when the fights are close.

 

Close maybe but both clear wins for Kovalev & Loma both deserved the win

 

They were both disgusting robberies but Ward actually won 5 rounds. Haney won 2 or 3 rounds max and was totally outclassed by Loma. Ward and Kovalev were in the same class Kovalev was just better on the night.

Ward didn't win 5 rounds, unless charging in bent in half at the waist, then clinching wins rounds.

 

Kovy Ward 1 was pretty bad. Like bad, bad. It legitimately couldve been 8-4 or even 9-3 w/ a KD...

At least Haney Loma didnt have a KD ffs

 

2nd Kovy Ward fight was a legit win for Ward. The stoppage was wrong but Kovy was BADLY hurt by the right hand to the JAW. The follow-up low blows were classless and not penalized. Then, as typical for Tony Weekes, the wrong call was made for a stoppage instead of a KD.

GGG1 was bad and GGG2 shouldve been a draw or narrow GGG win. Neither of those fights were as clear as Ward Kovy 1 where Kovy scored a great, clean KD and won at least 7 or 8 rounds additionally

 

You could be right I haven't watched that fight in a while but I do recall Ward clearly winning a few rounds after making adjustments. No doubt Kovalev was robbed but I feel Loma completely dominated Haney whereas Ward put up a better fight.

 

Only point I disagree with is that Ward should have been DQ'd anyway. He bombarded Kov's testes at will & Weekes looked the other way, the final testes assault was BLATANT!!

 

115-112 Kovalev live and 114-113 Kovalev second time around

115-113 Haney the next morning after not scoring live

I know my Haney score is in the minority but I thought he banked more early rounds then won the 12th

Ward fought bravely after going down and came back strong and won a lot of rounds down the stretch to tighten it up and took it to the bigger and harder punching Kovalev and earned a lot of respect from me that night. That said I don't think Ward has much of a case to have won

 

Kov vs Ward easily. There's no way Ward won.
