Agreed. Had Loma winning by 1 round, but could see a draw. I cannot see any way to score the Kovalev fight a draw let alone a win for Ward. Also, the Kovalev Ward was a way bigger legacy fight as well. Kovalev got railroaded.

Blatantly dirty fighter, that's why he'd only fight at home in front of a half empty arena You name the foul he used it

Kovalev vs Ward I was NOT a close fight - I scored it 116-111 for Kovalev, while giving Ward every close round. The judges scored round ten for Ward, and that was obvious corruption - Kovalev clearly won round ten. Roy Jones was honest about it, he said after the fight Kovalev won. Max Kellerman was dishonest and misleading as usual.

Loma-Haney was a win for Loma, but it was a closer fight, 115-113.

Neither "robberies". But I had Kov winning the first Ward fight.

Man, both were bad but the Loma robbery was harder to stomach. Smaller guy, older guy fighting a much bigger opponent put on a brilliant boxing display only to get robbed by the blind corrupt POS judges. That was a bad one. Haney showed his true colors in the lead up to the fight. Big mouth punk.

Kov won convincingly and even put Ward down and the judges mysteriously got it wrong. That was a bull**** decision as well.

Interesting to see two undefeated American fighters going up against Eastern fighters and given undeserved gifts by the judges. In Las Vegas, I believe.

Boxing has always had a layer of scum around it but that layer has gotten thicker than ever. It was once my favorite sport but now it’s nowhere near the top of my list.

Neither were robberies. Fans of Eastern European fighters are bratty. They cannot and will not accept when their fighters lose. It’s a strange pattern. They make these kinds of threats for confirmation bias.

I had Kovalev winning I didn't think it was particularly close. Although Ward did come back into it but too little too late if I remember correctly.

I scored the Loma fight a draw.

To be honest when you look at these two fights it appears to me that its YOU who will not accept your man lost in both cases. Kovalev was blatantly robbed by Ward TWICE !!! Once by decision in fight 1 & once by DQ in fight 2 The way Weekes ignored Wards blatant low blows was amplified by Weekes comment in round 1 he said
" Keep em up Andre " when the first dropped low. That wasn't sticking to the script I guess lol
Loma beat Haney & I think Haney knows it too by his refusing to rematch Loma. If he was confident I know he would want to prove it in a rematch

100% agree with you that Kovalev was skillfully mismanaged by Duva. Wonder if there was any funny business going on considering what transpired in the fight and the decision afterwards. Duva couldn't have done a worse job if she tried. She screwed him on the money also. Boxing is a tough business there is no doubt about that.

Exactly what I was looking for.

Another stupid thread about some casual complaining about close fights.

There are not enogh threads like this one. We need more.

Please, open another thread about lomachenko's/pacman's shoulder. Please....

Even Ward knew he lost. No one on Earth was as surprised at the announcement of the robbery as Ward. He went from looking like his entire family was killed to looking like he won the lottery.

Both were shocking robberies. Fans of American fighters are ignorant, arrogant and not really fans of the sport they are happy as long as their man gets the win whether by hook or crook. They brag about A side stipulations then have the hide to say no excuses.
