    Baers best performance is by far schmeling fight. It was a great win. However, it was also max schmelings worst performance. In my opinion, Foreman and Baer were very similiar stylistically...with foreman being superior.

    Say what you will about Baer but his right hand was LETHAL! I wonder what he would have achieved had he not had hand issues, was more serious about training and not had Campbell die on him. Everything I have reaqd about Baer said he was a nice guy and he banged some of the top Hollywood starlets at the time also.

    I think you mean to say he was completely evil and wanted to kill Braddock. If you can't trust the Ron Howard version, what can you trust ? :lol:

    no matter how bad their technique's were I would not want to be hit by either Bear or Foreman.

    I'm not sure whom I'd prefer. On the one hand, Baer killed men, on the other, Foreman is...well...Foreman.

    Baer and Foreman BOTH threw everything WIDE with reckless abandon...... Both were very sloppy at times......... I gotta blame some of their early trainers / handler's for that.....

    Baer's TKO 10 over Schmeling was legit.......... Schmeling was out on his feet when ref Donovan called a halt... I just taped all the highlights from ESPN the other night....
