This. When Rocchigiani won the WBC light heavyweight strap after roy jones had relinquished it. Then Roy wanted it back so they just flat out gave it back to Roy. Roch sued the WBC for 30 mil and won.

This goes hand in hand with Dariusz Michalczewski being stripped of his WBA and IBF titles after unifying a division.

****, just from this year that I can remember:
-Alvarez fighting an average welter Matt Hatton for the JMW WBC strap.
-Maidana fighting Morales for the interim WBA strap, when Khan beat him the fight before for the WBA belt and was defending it the very next week
-Morales fighting Matthysse for the WBC belt, stripped from Bradley who won it only six months ago
-WBC ordering Hopkins-Pascal rematch when Pascal was contracted to rematch Dawson, although not that bad as Dawson will get his shot, wreaked of corruption with GBP influencing the WBC
-The WBA making Haye super champ before Wlad-Haye so they could reissue the regular belt for Povetkin-Chagaev to fight for
-WBC making Martinez Emiritus champ and stripping him of his WBC belt, which Chavez Jr not surprisingly picked up a few months later against the guy they gave the belt to, Zbik

And there were probably more instances just as bad this year. Just reading those back though it's comedic, and depressing at the same time. What a farce the WBC and WBA have turned their belts into. The two historically most significant belts now mean nothing. Don't know how any new fans could follow the sport with the shambles they've created in the last decade. Hopefully their arrogance and greed signals their downfall and their belts stopped being recognised as major titles with the re-emergence of the Ring belt

The WBO having 2 interim champions in the same weight division at the start of the year was bloody hilarious, we actually had a WBO interim unification bout!

It was the interim WBO light flyweight title(s) held by Jesus Geles and Ramon Garcia Hirales. They were interims whilst Segura was the real champion. Geles won then 2 months later they rematched for the proper title, Garcia Hirales winning the rematch...

WBA and WBC are bull**** boxing organizations. They have no rules and regulations. They are messed up!

I dont think there is a worst. I've become immune to the ridiculous actions of boxing sanctioning bodies.
Who's fighting for what title does'nt really matter to me anymore.

I enjoy a good boxing match but who holds what title has simply become meaningless to me.

Can we not have a sticky thread labelled 'disgraceful acts by sanctioning bodies'????

God knows it's gonna happen on a weekly basis
