Worst analysis for a fight you have ever had

Oohh, yeah, me too on that one. After Simms owned Rivera the way he did, I figured Alcine was cannon fodder.

You know though, it was made a point by ShowTime team that Rivera and Ice Scully had made several points before the fight to the ref about Simms holding etc. The ref was on it and Simms fought. Against Alcine, Simms was a huggy bear deluxe.

 

I had Enzo to beat Haye, Tzyu to beat Hatton, and recently Witter to beat Bradley in early convincing style.....turned out Witter had nothing convincing

I was so off that if they fought again 1 month later, I would still pick Tszyu

Kessler over Calzaghe

recently i picked woods over tarver, and actually lost some money on it

 

Hopkins-Wright easily. Not only did I pick Winky by UD, but I was convinced it would be an entertaining fight.

 

Hmm...probably the last one was when I thought Brewster would beat Liakhovich handily. I thought the White Wolf would be rusty and the Mo Harris loss scored big in my mind, while Brewster seemed to have found new motivation with the knockouts against Golota and Krasniqi.

Instead Liakhovich came out the winner.

 

it was all about his opponent in that fight. Its funny how easy it is to forget how to throw punches when your opponent is better positioned than you and can take advantage of any mistake that you make.

Fighting Alcine has nothing to do with fighting Riveira

Alcine even had a massive stomach virus the week leading into the fight and was at about 70%

 

Yeah, it was a double whammy - not only did Liakhovich win, but it was a bloody good fight as well. Liakhovich had never fought like that before...or sadly, since.

 

Personally for me a big part was not doing any home work on Alcine. I had seen Simms and thought wrongly it would be an easy W for Simms. Plus it was in Simms back yard. All credit to Alcine, he did what he had to do and then some.

 

Mosley vs. Cotto

I kept thinking that Mosley would of been able to hurt Cotto, and/or outbox him because of Mosley's speed.

 

Cotto proved alot in that fight that he had not proven before it, so it wasn't such a bad pick. I thought the bookie odds which were about 55/45 in favour of Cotto were dead on.

 

Lacy-Calzaghe was the worst for me.

 

Cotto v Gomez or Vargas v Mayorga ... for me ... I thought that Vargas was going to outbox Mayorga, but I failed to realize how terrible Vargas has been since he fought Tito.

I thought Gomez was going to hit Cotto with some bull**** and hurt him --

 

I was pretty sure that Hamed was going to KO Barrera. I thought it would be a close fight that would end in the middle rounds with Hamed catching Marco with one of those wild devastating power shots he used to throw.

I also thought Miranda would beat Pavlik, based on the fact that Miranda had fought better opposition and Pavlik's less then impressive performance when he fought McKart. Obviously, Pavlik proved me wrong in that fight and the first Taylor fight.

 

I had Castillo stopping Hatton with a body shot! Couldn't have been more wrong!

 

:yep I was on here too preachin' to the Hatton faithful that he'd done gone 1 step too far that time.
