Worst Announcer in Boxing

    Matthew Campbell is simply the WORST announcer in boxing by a mile. How many mistakes does this guy make? He was atrocious again last nite, I just cringe every time he opens his mouth. Seriously is this the best AU has in terms of announcing? The guy seems to do every big aussie fight out there.

    Who can forget the Mundine-Green fight:
    "Danny . . . . The Man . . . (oh ****) . . . Green Machine Green Machine Green Machine Greeeeeennnnn."

    The guy is a total embarrassment. After watching Mike Buffer and Jimmy Lenon from HBO and Showtime just puts this guy to shame. FFS get rid of this guy.

    James White I think is a very handy prospect.
    He has a good delivery, very clear, & just the right amount of flair.

    What was the go introducing the fighters first and then going on to the national anthems and officials. Australian fight cards have a wonderful knack for getting on people's nerves.

    Perry Cale, Dave Ella and also James White are very good IMO, Perry being the pick of the bunch for mine

    if this is the same Afro American who does the cfc shows, I couldn't agree more.
    I saw him for the first time at one of those shows a year ago, compared to our usual boring plodders he's a breath of fresh air. He rarely makes errors, obviously learns a bit about the fighters and has a great natural personality that really entertains.
    I reckon we should all send the message to the powers that be that this is the kind of guy we want

    Who's the guy with the peroxide hair and wears the white ensemble...does all the friday night fox shows?

    I worked a corner one night and was seated right beside him. I'm not kidding, me and Hermie were laughing because this dude was farting like a draught horse. Hermie was blaming me...I was blaming him....then we worked out it was the ring announcer. This guy!!! LOL

    I was really impressed with Dave the other night. Hes really improving a lot. I think he could do plenty in the future.

    Agreed. Matty Campbell is a disgrace. I was watching the fight with my brother and a couple of mates who are all new to the sport. I explainned to them just before Campbell announced Danny that he stuffed up the Mudnine Green fight, and lo and behold, he stumbles through Greeny's intro again! Was classic...

    Yeh I watched it again last night.

    First when he introduces Danny for the ring walk it was:

    "Danny the Green Machine MEANNNNNN"

    Then for the ring intros it was:

    "Danny the MEAN Machine Greeeennnn"

    Seriously what a HACK. The guy is a major embarrassment.
