Come on. Oscar was fine -- in the sense of never being at risk of being dropped -- at least during those 8 rounds.

Just ask yourself this. Based on what you saw which guy would you have rather been the morning after, the next week? WHo do you think was more sore? whose body ached more? Who do you think took longer (or is taking longer) to fully recover from the beating? Who do you think lot more blood?

Oscar quit on his own terms, Cotto had to be saved becasue he was in danger of being killed. Cotto's beating was worse despite being more competitive

Check out round number 7 as the round was ending. And when im talking about worst beatdown I always believe the mental part of boxing is the worst beatdown any fighter could sustain more than anything physical. Cotto suffer a lot as well, but some of us knew from his last Clottey fight he was never giving enough time to heal his cut. This show quickly in the fight, Oscar face was also beaten just like Cotto's. Hey even Manny's face was badly beaten up and that was just from 2 or 3 good rounds from Cotto. Mentally DLH was push to quitting into his stool and retiring as Cotto kept coming out round after round. At the end of the day both camps and fighters suffer a lot and carried the wrong game plan into the ring. Manny in my opinion has the best camp I seen in recent years that help him from negotiations to the final bell.

Cotto. Pac was new to the welterweight division when he fought Oscar and didn't seem to have that much pop in his punches. He looked much stronger against Cotto.

DLH took more of a beatdown. Cotto at least made it a good fight for the first 4 or 5 rounds. DLH just stood there getting hit by a Pacquiao in his first fight at Welterweight. DLH was hurt and was going to go down and would have been knocked out, but he quit on his stool. Cotto was man enough and stayed in the fight, even if he was running for the last 10 minutes or so.
