Primo Carnera , who was dropped 11 times by the murderous punching prime Max Baer in 1934...Carnera was reeling around like a drunk, andhow he survived the terrible blows ob Baer, whose punches killed Frankie Campbell in 1930, and knocked unconscious Ernie Schaaf, which did great damage to Schaaf ,that a short time later, Schaaf died from a Primo Carnera light blow..How Carnera survived those 11 knockdowns , I'll never understand...
Nobody ever gives Primo Carnera credit for recovering in the middle rounds and actually going toe to toe with Max Baer. I really hate the way American writers disrespected him.
I LOVED every minute of it! One of the truly GREAT nights of my life. How can you not be caught up in the drama of that night if you are from that era?:hat

While some of those fights were one sided Tyson vs Berbick Foreman vs Frazier Hearns vs Duran Foreman vs Norton Cooney vs Norton Holmes vs Frazier they were over too quickly to be considered one of the worst beatings ever. Something like Hopkins Trinidad or Trinidad vs. Mayorga was a prolonged beating that can qualify.
Defintely. Might not be the worst beating ever, but on the back of it there were the terms lacying or lacyed for anyone who had been battered.
anyone seen Danny Hunt - Mounir Guebbas? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8n4ah_guebbas-vs-hunt_sport naly
..meast has it..and it's listed by others ...dempsey/willard. no question. the others named here are good selections, but jack's beating of jess has to be the worst ever.
