Worst beating seen

  1. What are the fights where you have feared for the fighters health, where you have cringed at the punishment received

To start off with a few recent examples

John murray v brandon rios, murrays lack of head movement and total reluctance to step back meant death by a thousand punches to the face

tomas adamek v vitali klitschko, crazy difference in size meant vitalis arm punches were mashing up brave tomas's face.Could of been devestating

Gabriel rosado v gennady golovkin, again bravery in the face of a loss.No real success yet soaked it all up

Andre berto v robert guerrero, eyes shut fighting off the ropes for 12 rounds.Put up great resistance

Last 6 rounds of cotto-margarito were particularly brutal

I thought Scott Harrison put a beating Wayne McCullough and Williams took a bad beating from Klitschko and i thought Mosley took bad beatings from Alverez, Pacman and Mayweather

Our dear ref Ian John Lewis letting Briggs take the beating he did off Vitali springs to mind, ironic that since then he has been the quickest of our ref's to stop a fight for no apparent reason.

That night in Germany still plays on his mind I guess, its the only way I can justify some of his decisions since.

    Ginge,

With regard Murray v Rios no way he should of been allowed to go 11 rounds half way through he was done.

Rios didn't make weight & Murray got an extra 20K$ at what cost? His corner should have pulled him out could he of stopped Rios no chance.

The beaten Briggs received by Vitali was probably worse than the Adamek one.

Katsidis took quite a bit against Marquez, Briggs against vitali, la motta against robinson in their third fight I think it was took a savage beating as featured in raging bull. Lacy got pretty bashed up by calzaghe, malinaggis face was a dreadful mess after the cotto fight, thats off the top of my head.
