Jeff Lacy immediately springs to mind.

No idea about the OP list, seems he knows **** about boxing and has a problem with David Haye.

Duane Bobick and Jerry Cooney. Both had sensational KO records until they stepped up. The Great White Hopes became the Great White Dopes.

    Ortiz

Maidana exposed him...still got a Mayweather fight beating Berto.

Bute - I remember hearing so many people talk about him like he was the second coming. He was left out of the Super 6, so while everyone in the division was beating each other up, Bute was somehow THE man to beat. People were saying he would crush Froch, kill Kessler, Ward doesn't stand a chance. CRAZY overrated.

Most of Floyds opponents have been severely overrated. That seems to be the pre-fight banter. He is a young hungry lion. A normal marketing ploy from those guys.

Ortiz was grossly overrated by Oscar. I think Danny Garcia will be on this list soon.

Adonis Stevenson. I have been saying how undeserving this guy was of all the praise he was getting. Before this weekend people were saying he was the #1 LHW. When I said he was one-dimensional, just a big puncher, etc. everyone said I was a hater.

Lacy - Calzaghe dismantled him. I admit, I didn't see that coming. He was overrated and injuries seemed to hurt him as well.

I don't think Dirrell was overhyped. He had skills but never reached his potential due to the mental aspect of the game.

Broner - definitely overrated for having accomplished so little.

Berto - had speed and skills. deserved some of the praise he got. maybe overrated by some.

claiming someone is the next golota isn't really hype. broner was talked about as being the next p4p king and how he would reign for years and years.

Canelo and Broner come to mind. Not going to say they are the worst, but considering their hype Im naming them.
