    I think the worst champion of all time is Luis Santana he had a horrible record coming into his fight with Terry Norris and he won his 2 fights against against him by DSQ while losing. In the 3rd fight he got his @$$ whooped in the 2nd round. I think he is easily the worst champion ever.

    In recent times maybe Carlos Maussa. I think current WBA light Welterweight title holder Gavin Rees will be lucky to make one defense of that title.

    Mayorga defeated world titlists/champs like Lewis and Forrest via legitimate TKOs.

    Santana won his belt by doing an acting job, and retained it by doing another acting job.

    why is every one saying rees? he put on a splendid performance and not that bad a fighter small and underpowered and un tested.......BUT apart from that,what have the romans ever down for us?

    nah he's a natural feather just got a lucky shot when he was fighting at lightwieght. he should move down with his new status as world champion.

    he wasnt that bad man he outboxed many a fighter and was a top contender...he wouldnt of got the shot otherwise

    Mayorga was a great champion. He would fight ANYONE at ANYTIME, he never ran, and every fight he was in was exciting.

    He is a fighter...a true warrior...He was a great champion.
