Seldons finest comment.. "Tyson hit me and the punch rattled my eyes, i couldn't continue.." It ****ing rattled my eyes too Bruce, coz i missed the punch landing at all
how about jim lampley's biased commentary during taylor/wright? everytime taylor through a punch it was "taylor lands a big punch!!!!" even though it was clearly blocked. the real problem was when winky landed a punch it was "wright feels the need to fire back" or "winky lands a little right hook, but taylor's clearly dominating this round" that **** pissed me off. there were even times where he just stayed silent during a wright 5 punch flurry, but once taylor would throw a punch in return it was a news headline.
Larry the drunk Merchant. Everytime he opens his mouth. It looks like he has forgotten what he was going to say. Total ******* to boot.
Foreman was the worst. So many bad fights: Oscar-Tito, Lewis-Ruddock, Toney-Barkley, Kevin Kelly-Gainer, Quartey-Phillips, etc. My favorite was Lewis-Ruddock. Ruddock takes a hard right and gets crumpled at the end of Round 1 and is barely saved by the bell. Lampley asks George how that will change the fight and George says "Not at all."
The top rank commentary on boxnation fights from the likes of Colonel Bob and Doug Fischer (Broner-Maidana for example) make Watt and Halling look like Gutteridge
Lampley. In any fight in the last 15yrs. Guy sucks. Rides house fighters like a Vegas prostitute. Kellerman also has moments of complete and utter stupidity. I find that most of these guys try to wax intellectual at some point or another and end up sounding foolish.
Atlas, Merchant, Rauriello (?), George, Lennox, Leonard, and 50/50 Lampley too. Oh, and most Brit commentators I've had to put up with over the years. Everybody whines and complains about USA-centric opinions in boxing. Why does nobody complain about English commentators who routinely and without shame show their bias for the hometown fighter much more than I've heard USA bias in commentary. Most of the heavy bias on HBO or Showtime broadcasts are for foreign fighters they are trying to build the market for, in my opinion.
