Worst contender you could've steered to the lineal title with good matchmaking

    Take a contender from any time period -- the worst contender possible -- and put him into any other time period. Where would he have captured the lineal title and achieved the most with good matchmaking?

    There have been some truly awful holders of a lineal claim and it's no mean feat finding someone worse.

    Wonder how many responders are gonna post the names of some random black HW's from the 60's and 70's, and claim they could be the champ today?

    It happened, with Carlos Baldomir.

    A long winning streak, with luck (the Clottey DQ) and when he got to fight for the Lineal WW championship he met an unfocused Zab Judah.
