Worst Current Champs

Nobody's saying Alcine sucks... but Simms is a dog of a fighter. Who did he beat? Two punching bags (Terra Garcia and Rivera) and a washed up never-was in Bronco McKart...

And Terra Garcia had won the title by beating the legendary Santiago Samaniego who had, in turn, won the title after losing every round against Mamadou Thiam until Thiam collapsed in the last round from the exhaustion. The same Thiam who got starched by Trinidad in two. Oh, and Terra Garcia just recently got embalmed by Roman Karmazin.

So, Alcine's win was nothing overwhelming. Meanwhile, Forrest and Spinks HAVE put in respectable wins and while it could be argued that Dzinziruk doesn't have a more qualified resume than Alcine, he has been at it just a bit longer.

You gotta go by some kind of quantifiable criteria. And when you look at Alcine's seemingly qualifiable win over Simms, the facts show that Simms was never anything to begin with. He just looked good against real bums. Dzinziruk's win over Santos hoilds more water.
