Tbooze you are correct it was a great fight.......both boxers were superb in their own way by round nine the outcome was in the balance and could have gone. Either way and you have to feel sorry for them both groves performance deserved a win.....but Froch. Looked about to make a miraculous comeback. We must have a re match which sadly will make more money for the hangers on as opposed to just the two lads.

Of course it's factored in but being human you still get angry!
Surely we all watch a fight with some emotion!

Of course, but surely you know what you are writing can potentially be seen by anyone? It is not like making a passing comment to your mate. That is why the Internet needs respect, anything and everything you write can be held against you.

And it is now over 12 hours since the fight, surely people are not that angry, and can now recognize we watched a classic fight last night? A fight that will in due course be mentioned with the likes of Christie/Kaylor, Benn/EubankI or the Eubank/Watson fights, when talking of the best modern domestic bouts at 160/168lbs...

I think the fight was stopped a little to early but it could be a blessing for George. If he had suffered a devastating KO, what could that have done to him or taken out of him?

He gets stopped on his feet a little early but he can comeback from this much stronger, He won the crowd and hundreds of thousands of new fans possibly millions. He is a World Champ in waiting. He acheived so much last night with his performance, it was a pleasure to watch.

You can argue all day about the early stoppage but if the ref honestly thought George was about to suffer some real damage he had a right to step in.

The focus of the outrage should be on the ringside judges. I want to know what fight they were watching to only have Froch one point behind. If the 9th had finished its an all square fight on two cards. :think

A couple more scrappy rounds and Froch takes it on points, What a joke that would have been.

That's the problem, instead of talking about a great fight, people are pissed off and the main focus is on the terrible stoppage by the ref. Plus the fact this has happened so soon after the Burns/Beltran robbery is just another kick in the bollocks for the sport.

But why? There is enough people who want to finish the sport off, without the fans giving them ammunition. The finish was not perfect, but the fight as spectacle was not far off, let us make the most of that.

    I was ****ing fuming...

I felt so bad for groves man...i had money on groves yeah and still won some by laying some off on the froch stoppage but its not about the money.

The ref was even smiling when he pulled groves in a headlock and waved it off. I felt like smashing the TV up.

Groves was buzzed he was not hurt and was trying to evade frochs arm shots. I do not think groves was hurt as badly as froch was...his legs were fine.

Froch and his trainer are both deluded. They will never admit he got schooled...schooled just as bad as SOG if not even more schooled. Froch did not have an off night, groves was just a class above.

Eddie hearn is behind all this **** man, what a currupt ****. I'd just love to smack him in his fake tanned face. I gave froch 1 round last night and that was being generous. I said to my dad all night groves is going to get robbed here...i could sense it by all the commentators sucking froches **** all night, and the ref not deducting points.

    **** froch

    **** mcracken

    **** the ref

    **** the judges

    **** eddie hearn

    **** matchroom

The rematch will not happen trust me. Froch knows groves has way too much for him. Froch looked like a little lost boy last night and was scared to let his hands go from fear of getting tagged. His trainer and eddie will not risk the rematch.

rant over i know im not alone here....

i didnt sleep until after 3 last night/this morning.

and woke up at 7.30, i genuinly couldnt settle at all.

I was livid about the decision. I looked back over the fight again this morning, after the dust had settled to see if was hasty last night, and the answer is no., I ****ing wasnt.

GRoves was robbed on so many levels its hard to believe.

The media where pro Froch, constantly putting Groves down

The referee was pro Froch, otherwise he wouldnt have stopped the fight, and definetly would have taken at least 1 point off.

And the judges where pro Froch.

Groves never stood a chance the longer the fight went on. Unless he knocked Froch out, between sky, matchroom etc..... Froch was never going to lose.

    Shameful carry on.

Has there ever been stoppage where the losing fighter was throwing two seconds before?

There has been a stoppage where the victor is on the way down having been caught as the ref stops it! (11:10):
