Charlie Edwards' blatant duck of Andrew Selby for the British flyweight title comes to mind.

Lewis failing to honour his promise of a rematch with Vitali was one of the most disgusting and shameless ducks in the history of the sport let alone Britain.

Lewis disgraced this country with his cowardice. Reminds me of what Andre Ward is threatening to do to Kovalev.

I have a feeling Chris Eubank Junior (the son and alter ego of Chris Eubank) will have a monopoly on this topic when all is said and done.

    Khan ducking Brook
    Bowe ducking Lewis
    Haye ducking Fury

All spring to mind though Khan ducking Brook is the biggest I can think off as it's been over such a long period.

Hatton ducked Witter for a decade.
Khan has ducked Brook for a few years.

Rubbish. Had he fought someone else then ok, however he retired. He was 38, fair enough.

He promised a rematch before quickly changing his tune. The initial encounter finished inconclusive with Vitali being ahead on the scorecards before the stoppage.

Lewis was using the thumb of his glove to butcher Vitali's face, so a rematch was needed.

Not only did Lewis con Vitali of his right to a rematch, he conned the world of boxing from the pleasure of viewing another great spectacle, with his decision to flee from unfinished business.

He was nearly 40. He listened to his body, he was past his prime and chose not to fight on. That's not ducking. That's being sensible. There's many a boxer out there who should have followed his example. There's always another fight to tempt you back. The clever ones know when to say no more
