With Wilder looking likely to have a bad title defense upcoming, I thought it appropriate to make a list. Some HW's had multiple horrible title defenses, but I'm only listing their worst one. Here's mine: 1. Dave Zyglewicz by Joe Frazier: Never beat any named fighter whatsoever, not even shot ones. Only beat a couple fighters with a winning record, no one with a greater than 75% victory record. Had one loss going into the fight, had license suspended by a state for not appearing to know how to properly defend himself. Hands down worst defense ever. 2. Okello Peter by Oleg Masgaiev: Again, never beat a real name fighter, unless you count Colin Wilson. Also had 4 losses to 18 wins 3. Drummond by Chagaev: Never beat anyone, but I guess you can at least say he was undefeated. 4. Jean Pierre Coopman by Muhammad Ali: Again never beat a name at HW, except Terry Daniels who was one of Fraziers most embarrassingly bad title defenses and who was completely shot from whatever little ability he ever had when he faced Coopman. Coopman also had a few losses to nobodies when he faced Ali. Ali had a few real bad ones in his second term, this was his worst 5. Pete Rademacher by Floyd Patterson: On the good side, he was the Olympic Heavyweight champion from the last Olympics. On the bad side, he had NEVER FOUGHT PROFESSIONALLY when Patterson faced him. Imagine that happening nowadays, fans would revolt. Honestly, legit champs nowadays usually don't have obscenely bad defense. Old timers may have seen better comp when they faced it, but were more likely to dumpster dive for an easy fight than modern champs, it didn't get as much negative attention as it does nowadays. I think Chaggy and Masgaev hurt their brand when they did it.
Molina is far worse than most of those. Even in the current internet age 99% of the hardcore boxing public didn't have a clue who that chump was.
Mormeck (Klitschko) , Harrison(Haye), Austin(Klitschko), old Rahman(Klitschko), Molina(Wilder), Owen Beck (Valuev)
Molina is a decent heavyweight with a big punch...anything can happen ( remember Sanders vs W klitschko ?)
Is there anyone who you'd put in top 50 HWs that Molina beat? He has decent power, I agree but he shouldn't be anywhere near a title fight.
