Who would you say is the worst person ever to challenge for a world title on British soil?

There has been a lot of **** taking regarding certain challengers placed in front of Sports Network fighters recently, and I would like to know other people's thoughts on who the worst ones are.

Basically, all they have to have done is challenged for one of the four main belts, WBC, WBA, WBO & IBF (no WBU challengers for the likes of Hatton and Maccarinelli please).

I can think of a few bad ones, notably Bobby Gunn and Arturo Morua in the not too distant past - your thoughts please.

No way moura, he was competant compared to the likes of Tocker Pudwill and samuel kedebe. Who are two of the worst recent ones Ive seen.

    Damon Reed. Good shout. Shocking.

Not sure if it was fora title but who was that poor f*cker that got fed to Barrera during his brief tenure with FW? Richard Evat?

I'd pick Gunn to beat that Azzouri (just a hunch I have for some bizzare reason).

Whilst Lawal was indeed poor, at least he was a bona fide featherweight who had a 17-1 record when he faced Hamed. That one loss on points to Freddy Cruz and years after the Hamed fight he managed to last up until the 8th against Baloyi who is a world champion.

Bobby Gunn on the other hand was an absolute nobody who had started life as a light middle and been KO'd by a non punching small light middle. He then left the sport for almost 11 years before coming back as a Cruiser and fighting total nobodies and yet was still put down 3 times in one round by Shelby Gross. He then had almost a year out again before going straight into a World Title fight with Maccarinelli.

How he was even ranked in the top 30 is a mystery, how he ended up in the ring with Mac is as baffling as it is sickening.

Loads of contenders on Nelsons record. Seem to remember him fighting a whole host of 10-1-3 fighters during his WBOring tenure.

Is it a coincidence, or are pretty much all these **** challengers fighting for WBO titles?

The IBF also have some **** ones, at least the likes of Hatton had the brains to vacate!

Samuel Kedebe. I seem to remember him going down when merely scuffed by Scott Harrisons glove.

I felt sorry for the fans that had paid for tickets to that one. It was verging on comedy afterwards when Maloney tried to claim it was Scotts power rather than Kedebe having no business being in that ring.

Im sure he had a pretty decent looking record on paper as well if I remember right

    It is Bobby Gunn!

They pulled that geezer straight of a car park and gloved him up for goodness sake!
