When the Hopkins fight was postponed because of 9/11, Tito's wife found out he had an affair and a daughter out of wedlock and was secretly supporting them. The media in PR made a circus out of it.

When you are blaming it on wrong sock, didn't have my favorite shot, gave blood, my leg was hurting me, messed up shoulder, he hit me in face to hard and I had cut, then yeah to many excuses becomes to much.

Before that, Foreman who had never suffered a cut at that point of his career, was approached by a sangoma ( african witch ) that blew some dust on Foreman in order to put a curse on him. Well that would freak anyone out. But what really got him, was after that he suffered a cut sparring, causing the fight to be delayed a little. Foreman was actually going to pull out of the fight against Ali he was so freaked out.

I do think Mentally Foreman was defeated before stepping into the ring against Ali.

No wonder he became a preacher. :hey. Remember when he was with Larry, and Jim as an HBO commentator for the De La Hoya vs Quartey? When Ike was making his way to the ring African drums started beating and freaked George out!

That whole expirience in Zaire left him traumatized.

George Foreman didn't accuse Ali directly but did say that Voodoo was used against him.

Also the reason JCC Sr. wears a red band on his head is because prior to his bout against Rosario, a Spanish reporter caught wind that Rosario's mother was doing some serious Santeria trying to curse Chavez.

The red band was used to break that curse and for protection. It represents being covered and protected by the blood of Christ.

Just some interesting insight, thought you would like to know.

    at the ahhhhhh

    he's just doing his jab.

Anyways an excuse is an excuse. Wrong gloves, shitty socks, injured shoulder, drugs (I believe either drugs or illness for that fight. All those things can affect how a fight plays out. But at the end of the day they're all excuses.

Because Floyd called himself a gorilla. Don't even go to the "oh you can't call a black person a ****** because it's racist!" route.

By that time Tito had fallen in love with his KO power and leaned away from his underrated boxing skills, even if he would have edged a win over Hopkins he would have lost to RJJ right after, he was not the same beast he was at 154.

Stomach cramps are caused by stress. I guess he had a bad feeling before he face him :D
