I just came across this guy on Boxrec - Eric Aiken

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=29366&cat=boxer

Won the IBF featherweight title on a DQ back in 2006, hasn't won a fight since.

Can anybody think of someone worse?

Gilberto Keb Baas is pretty shitty.

But Nino is a legit champion he won it from, so it probably discounts him.

I'd say Keb is the worst RING ranked #1 ever. He was ranked #1 at 35-21-4 going into his fight last weekend, which he lost to a nobody by early KO. Worst ranking ever, anyone who had him top 5 at 108 lbs, let alone #1.

The Light Heavy division in the late 80's and early 90's gave us some real HOF shitehouses.

Did Bruce Seldon ever hold a belt?
This thread could run and run...
Damiani was another who held a belt I think.Apologies if I'm wrong though.

Yeah I thought about him, he must just have had Nino's number (he beat him early in both of their careers as well) because I just can't explain how he ever won that title. Records can be deceptive, of course, like Orlando Salido for instance who had a lot of early losses. But this guy had been losing to any decent fighter for years and that's carried on since winning the fight.

A tad harsh perhaps?
He took a title fight on two days notice and won.I'm sure he had 6 or 7 successful defences.

I remember Eric Aiken. I don't know much, if any, about several names on the board, though, so I'm going to do a little research.
