Duran didn't have a gameplan against Hearns. He was simply out of shape and really didn't care.

 

Gatti wasn't going to win that fight no matter what he did. That fight had ass kicking all over it.

 

and on top of it floyd always said his hands hurt after he broke it on castillo man no way buddy knew floyd could hurt gatti

 

pay absolutely no attention to him
floyd did not start slow in them days he was young and on fire even with hurt hands the guy went in blasting floyd didnt start thinking inside the ring until he had to fight those big strong welters

 

There's not much Gatti could have done. Try to box with Mayweather, and he gets beaten to the punch and gets his ass kicked. Try to slug with Mayweather, and it'd be even easier for Mayweather to beat Gatti to the punch since Gatti threw those wide hooks. Gatti would be an even bigger, more open target.

He'd get destroyed either way. Gatti was a lower level fighter. Not to mentiond, he had problems with speed and clever boxers anyway.
