Worst gameplan you've ever seen from an "elite" boxer?

Also, Lewis Rahman 2 rematch - even the corner telling him "Hold your arms out, that stops everything"

 

He fought like he always did and didn't do badly at all. The rematch gameplan was a deviation.

 

Frazier getting inside on Foreman was his only chance.

Marquez tried to press Floyd.

Leonard fought like he always did, he was just forced to fight at Duran's range.

Lomachenko was forced to fight on the inside against Salido, it wasn't his plan.

De La Hoya should have won the fight.

There's a difference between a gameplan not working or a style getting trumped, and having a terrible gameplan.

 

James Degale seems to have a terrible game plan in every fight.

 

yeah good one.Berbick was a total nutter this fight proved it.

 

Some of these aren't so bad. Frazier and Duran fought their normal fight. What would you expect them to do against ATG's much bigger than them?Use their reach?
Taylor was beating Chavez until the last 2 seconds.
Loma did not fight dirty.
Leonard had a lot of success against Duran. It was a great fight.
DLH just made a bad decision. That fight was very close.

None of these was "the worst game plan".

Marquez, agreed. A terrible game plan. But again, his normal fight. He should just stay away from movers. And he was fighting someone two weight divisions above him. Also a terrible idea.

Like a few already said, Canelo trying to outbox Mayweather is by far the worst game plan ever.

How would you suggest Marquez a lightweight moving up to face a welterweight have game planned for Floyd?
......and consider as Bogatazo suggested that Marquez was the fighter moving forward and seeking exchanges vs Mayweather.
There's only so much a smaller fighter with every physical disadvantage against him can do.
