But to answer the question, YES Khan's chin is pretty horrible. I actually might even add Chris Byrd in there if he continues to fight and at LHW.
You're right. Among name heavyweights, both Fraudley and Rahman have much worse chins. Those guys make Wlad look like George Chuvalo!
wlad does not have a glass jaw..the guy was hit by a huge puncher then he was a mess in the brewster fight and sam peter who is the biggest puncher in the div had him hurt abd coulgny finish close too 50 hw fights and never been hurt other tan those 3
For a current champion? Wlad easily, been knocked down 11 times and TKO'd 3 times by mostly journeymen. His chin was terrible until Manny got ahold of him in 04, where he now uses excessive clinching to get him out of tough jams against heavy hitters(Peter), so now I would say his chin is just bad. I think anyone with a clear vision and that is not a Wlad nuthugger, could see how afraid Wlad is of taking a punch(Iggy), his panic attacks are legendary and are usually cause for a good laugh. I agree with everyones choices, Harrison, Khan, and Rahman have total glass for chins. For the poster who said anyone that gets rocked by a jab has a glass chin, take a look at the jab that caught Wlad in the 3rd round of the first Brewster fight, his ****ing legs gave out from under him when Brewster caught him with a stiff jab, even RJJ made fun of Wlads chin and laughed about it while he was commentating the fight that night.
wlad does have a glass jaw but has the character to change his style and remain a champion anyway. that he can comeback from what happened against sanders shows what he is made of to be honest. it can be very self-destructive for any fighter to get beaten that badly after being built up so much. and wlad was at that time. infact he was sen as a better prospect in mainland europe than vitali before they cracked the US market.
I wouldnt call a 3 point victory on all 3 of the judges scorecards a schooling, especially when Wlad had numerous panic attacks and hit the canvas 3 times. I agree he outboxed Peter, who at that time just turned 25 and was very green, but he tried to make a street fight, and instead of going toe to toe with him, he would throw a punch or two and clinch, no wonder why Peter tried punching during the break and trying to throw Wlad off him, because he was holding on for dear life half the time. I honestly believe that fight was Wlad's best victory and it gave him the confidence needed to find his way back to a title, all in all, it gaves us a glimpse at 2 of the best the division has to offer, I pray a rematch happens soon.
