The OP put worst habits. I wouldn't call that a habit, but more of a style. He puts his hands down like that because Martinez is a GREAT counter puncher. Having his hands down like that allows his opponent to think he has all the openings in the world. Martinez then exploits this with his speed and counters effectively. If initiation is not made by his opponent like Cintron in the beginning of that clip he's prone to up-jab to the body. Which is much easier to do when thrown from down there. He also utilizes this style for it's unorthodox angles it presents for his arsenal. Not only that but the remarkable amount of energy you save by not having to hold your hands up for the entire round pays off in the long run when you have shitty stamina like he does. Many boxers actually do that to save energy. Cotto does it when he's on the backfoot. Abraham does it towards the end of fights (which many confuse for toying with his opponents, but have no idea that keeping up a guard like that can be taxing on the arms). Jones. Hamed. Gamboa. Collazo. Pulling off this style requires incredible speed, agility, reflex and finesse. You don't have these traits you either get KTFO or look like a total idiot (See Beibut Shumenov for details.)
Juanma pushing his pants down is very annoying and dangerous. And stop the BS, you all know what the thread is about. What are you, English teachers????
I agree to a point... And I get the whole hands-down, up-jab, save energy thing... But I'm talking about that annoying thing he does when he punches toward the ground like he shaking his arms off. And he does it right before he throws a punch out of that style. It is sooooooooo annoying, and it would seem to be very dangerous.
I don't understand that. First great boxer he faces he will have a broken jaw to contend with early in the fight. Jeez, the dude wants to fight Pac with that habit of his. atsch P.S. I think Valero will be exposed before he makes it to the elite.
Could be that he can't breath well trough his nose, believe me that sucks... or just straightout lack of conditioning. - Ali, insulting almost all of his opponents
If you stopped to think for a second, it would be obvious to you that nobody thinks Allen Green is a future atg, and therefore you're seeing the word elite used in a context different to 'future ATG's' - do you understand this? If you would like further clarification PM me or ask the nice lady who cleans the food off of your shirt. Ffs esb...:tired
Mayweather - Leaping with the left hook, leaping in with the right hand (he can do this now as he is so physically gifted) Vitali Klitchsko - Leaning away from punches
pacman clapping his hand on the air after getting nailed although I'd say it's cool instead of bad habit..
Allan Green isn't elite by any means at this point in time. He isn't one of the top few in his division, nor is he rated in the top 30 or so p4p. He isn't elite in any context, no matter how you spin it.
alot of fighters have bad habits- in fact almost all, and alot of gym fighters have perfect form. goes to show how much of the game is innate talent, heart, and genetics. like chin, power, reflexes, etc.
Juanma likes to jump up and down after an exchange to sort his feet out, although he usually does it when they are just out of range. I can see someone quick catching on to this and making him pay.
